I am a writer and teaching professor of English and Creative Writing. I work in a range of genres: fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, as well as reviews and essays about books and music. If you like what I do, buy me a coffee!
Check out my books on Amazon. Spring Cleaning is a novel set in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. A young man suddenly leaves his wife and newborn baby. Hurled into a journey of discovery and self-reckoning, his attempts to begin a new life lead to outcomes he is unprepared to face. Rolling Rock is a novella: craziness follows a bunch of misfit friends when they escape their safe suburban homes for a night of adventure in Atlantic City and New York City. It's a rollicking, edgy "time in a beer bottle" take on adolescent life in the 1980s.
I also enjoy podcasting at Song Tripping (YouTube), The English Suite, and Podula Rasa. I'm a hobbyist musician and song writer, and you can check out my music at bandcamp and soundcloud.
Medium has become my primary outlet for new writing. I'm trying to put some good back in the world as best I can through my stories and poems. Subscribe to new posts here. And if you're not a member of Medium, please consider becoming a member. You get access to all stories by all writers on Medium, and I'll earn a small commission, which helps to support my writing life. Thanks for reading!
